Power Vision CX Release for Victory 2008 & Newer 106″ Models

2028

Written by:

Breathe new life into your Victory with the Dynojet

Power Vision CX.

Your Victory motorcycle is now a flash away from unlocking the hidden power and torque that lurks within, all without adding extra devices or modules! The Power Vision CX interfaces with the ECU through the diagnostic connector and allows you to read the original tune (which can be restored), flash new tunes, view live data, and datalog. Dynojet tunes are available and have modified fueling, timing, rev limit, idle, and other changes to take advantage of the 106’s potential. Shops, tuners, and advanced users are enabled to further optimize Victory 106’s with the included Power Core software. This powerful software suite provides all the tools to perform custom tuning, view and analyze datalogs, and automate corrections using Tune Lab.

To us, Victory is and will always be a great motorcycle. A legend we have ridden and tested,  although Victory is closing their doors Dynojet will continue to support Victory riders with the best possible air/fuel performance tools. Legends never die, Victory isn’t dead.

How does the Power Vision CX benefit my Victory?

The Power Vision CX isn’t just a flash tuner, it is a complete toolkit for your ECM.

Stock Victory Motorcycles will realize increased power and torque throughout the entire operating range. Our tuning specialists focused on low, and mid-range grunt and the results are impressive. The combination of fuel and ignition advance changes are optimized for a stock, or stock with high-flow air cleaner. Your riding experience will be transformed with the Power Vision CX.

Modified Victory Motorcycles require more extensive tuning. The Power Vision CX affords the ability to use our pre-developed tunes for your specific combination, or you can visit a dyno tuner that can custom tune your Victory for optimal results. Until now, the only options for tuning your Victory were in-line devices that could only adjust fuel, and in some cases fuel and timing. Power Vision CX unlocks the potential of your Victory by adjusting the calibration inside the ECM, resulting in a higher level of control required for bikes with serious modifications.

2016 Victory 106″ Horsepower Graph STK and Power Vision CX Tune Comparison.

As you can see the significant improvements are in the lower to mid range but still peak above your stock horsepower on a Stock 106″.

Congrats to Jordan Carlsson on Australian Supersport Championship Round 4

Written by:

NewsRacingSport

“The Hyperion Motorsports/Graves Yamaha Team can report that Supersport rider, Jordan Carlsson, has regained a close 4th overall in the Australian Supersport Championship, following Round 4 of the Australian Superbike Championship, at Hidden Valley Raceway, Darwin, at the weekend. It is a positive step for the team, as the season enters its second half, with three rounds now remaining, however, it wasn’t without complications. Carlsson displayed pure persistence and determination during both 14 lap races in the heat of the Darwin sun, following a qualifying result that left much room for improvement, by both team, and rider, due largely to a lack of circuit knowledge, having never been to Hidden Valley before.” Read the full press release at www.jordancarlsson.com

“To be honest we struggled a lot to find a setting that allowed us to push for a lap time to give us a good starting position” Jordan explains. “We had our work cut out for us there as a lot of the guys competed at the Three-Hour endurance race the week prior, and that gave them an advantage right from FP1. We found the pace we needed, but much alter than we would’ve liked to. That is something we need to actively work on, and I look forward to the official ASBK Test ahead of Round 5, as qualifying has been our weak point in the last two rounds in particular. We’ve had good race pace, but it is just so critical to qualify well with this format of racing, as it allows me to manage the tyre a lot better towards the end of the race and push for race wins in order to bank maximum points for the championship” he says.

Qualifying: 13th
Lap Time: 1:09:991
Pole Time:1:09:153
Top Speed: 267km/h
Lap Record: 1:09:458

Keep up the good racing Jordan #45.

Power Vision Firmware Update 2.0.29.1570

Power Vision Firmware Update 2.0.29.1570

Keep on Tuning!  Dynojet Power Vision supports the latest updates for H-D motorcycles with the new firmware level and tune database.

We just released a new firmware and tune database for Power Vision, firmware 2.0.29.1570, and tune database 0.0.9.46. Which means Power Vision now supports two new software levels for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles; 621 and 822.

Software level 621 is used on 2014 and newer Softail & Dyna 110” models.

822 is used on 2017-2018 Touring models.

Simply use the update client to manage the download and installation of the latest firmware.  Once updated you’ll be able to tune these new software levels using the original tune as the basis, or use 617 (for 621) or 723 (for 822) level calibrations in their place.  To avoid any voids in service, the Power Vision Tune License Program has also been updated and will support these new software levels.

What is Rev X-tend on Dynojet’s Power Commander V?

Written by:

What is Rev X-tend?

Rev X-tend is a feature within the Power Commander that allows you to change the engine’s rev-limiter. This feature can only be used on some models where the Power Commander has control of the vehicle’s ignition. If you have a “Fuel Only” PC5 unit, you would need to add an Ignition Module accessory to use the Rev X-tend feature.

What models PC5 includes Rev X-tend?

Some PC5units have Fuel and Ignition Control “built-in” to one unit. In most of those units, you can use the Rev X-tend feature. Most of those Rev X-tend compatible units are pre-configured to give you 500 RPM more than the stock rev-limiter, without the need for any key-code. You can get 500 RPM more than stock just by checking the box and enabling the Rev X-tend feature from the software. Some Fuel and Ignition PC5 units that have a pre-configured Rev X-tend feature that gives 500 RPM more than stock include units for Harley Davidson, Victory motorcycles, and many Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki , and Suzuki models that only have only one or two cylinders.

In the Power Commander V software you can enable Rev X-tend by going to Power Commander Tools>Configure>Feature Enable and Input Selections.

Do I need Rev X-tend to run my bike on the dyno?

No.

Why would I need to adjust my RPM?

The Rev X-tend feature can be setup to lower a engine’s rev-limiter. You might want to lower the rev-limit RPM to limit the power output for a novice rider. In most circumstances the feature is used to raise the rev-limiter for a modified engine that has the capability of producing more power at higher RPMs.

How do I set my RPM to a different configuration?

In some cases, you can get 500 RPM more than stock just by checking the Rev X-tend enabling checkbox in the Features window of the PC5 software. A key-code is needed if you want to set the Rev X-tend feature at any other RPM than what it is set at currently.

What is the key-code for?

A key-code is only needed if you want to set the Rev X-tend feature at any other RPM than what it is set at currently.
You must submit a Rev X-tend Request Form to get a key-code from Dynojet. You can download the Rev X-tend Request Form here: http://www.powercommander.com/downloads/GeneralDocuments/FormWaivers/RevXtendReqForm-1.pdf

It can be faxed to 702-399-1431, or you can e-mail the form directly to tech@powercommander.com as an email attachment. Please make sure the serial number, return email address, and desired rev-limit are clearly legible and that the form has a signature.

As always, let us know if you have any questions.
